SERVICES FOR CONRACTORS

Alternatively, we can be engaged by Contractors to ensure that their RFP/Contract Schedules are accurate CPM Models that truly represent the intended Execution Strategy, including all major Pre-Construction Processes required to support the Plan.

We then work with the Team through the Life Cycle to ensure the Contract Schedule is rigorously maintained to reflect current Progress and Forecasts – including the effect of Impacts.

Our philosophy and approach is well described in the PPS Scheduling Spec:

• The Contract Schedule shall model all processes and dependencies involved in delivering the Project on time and according to the Contract, including relevant interface work by the Owner, the Project Team and 3rd parties:

– Design and Permitting
– Procurement
– Construction
– Testing, Commissioning, Occupancy and Completion

• The Contract Schedule and supporting deliverables shall be rigorously assembled and maintained with sufficient detail to portray the Contractor’s intentions clearly and unambiguously, providing the Project Team and Stakeholders with a current, trustworthy basis for planning, coordination, and strategic decision-making throughout the life of the Project.

• The Contract Schedule and Update Process shall accommodate the need for increasing levels of detail to control the work as the project progresses, for example from the implementation of the Last Planner System®.

Ideally we are engaged to assist with the RFP Schedule (and onwards!), but are able to come on board at any stage to help the Team to develop (or thoroughly upgrade) the Contract Schedule and/or to implement a robust Schedule Updating and Maintenance Process. Depending on the form of Contract we can also contribute substantially to Pre-Construction Services.
